Ahi Poke

INGREDIENTS

Appetizer for Two People

  • 1 lbs fresh ahi tuna
  • 1 small white onion
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seads
  • 1⁄4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic chili sauce (Siracha brand)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Dice Ahi tuna into 1/2″ cubes – keep as cold as possible.
  2. Mix all other ingredients with Ahi & refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Serve with chopsticks or rice crackers.

WINE PAIRING

Serve with a glass of chilled sparkling rosé or sparkeling pino nior. The acidity of the wine cuts the oils and strong flavors of garlic chili and ginger in the poke while providing a crisp refreshing note in a way that does not overpower the dish.
