Ahi Poke
INGREDIENTS
Appetizer for Two People
- 1 lbs fresh ahi tuna
- 1 small white onion
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seads
- 1⁄4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic chili sauce (Siracha brand)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
DIRECTIONS
- Dice Ahi tuna into 1/2″ cubes – keep as cold as possible.
- Mix all other ingredients with Ahi & refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Serve with chopsticks or rice crackers.
WINE PAIRING
Serve with a glass of chilled sparkling rosé or sparkeling pino nior. The acidity of the wine cuts the oils and strong flavors of garlic chili and ginger in the poke while providing a crisp refreshing note in a way that does not overpower the dish.
